This is what we do


 

 I won’t call this a menu, that implies that we only offer what’s on the menu. There are no ‘options’. We make recommendations to begin with and then working with you from that start point create one off, completely individual choices for your event. What you will find here are what most of our events typically sound like at the beginning. A lot of customers choose to add side dishes, cutlery and crockery, desserts etc. whilst also there are plenty who do not want all the fuss. Either way is entirely fine with us.

  • Hog roasts

    We can cater for any number of guests from anything as little as 10 to 50 with a half pig and 100 to 500 (or more) people. Typically a hog roast includes fresh bakery rolls, sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce, salt and pepper, tomato ketchup and mustard. We also include compostable knives, forks, plates and napkins. If you would like any additional condiments such as BBQ sauce or other things, let us know in advance and we can get something sorted.

  • Lamb roasts

    Lamb roasts look very similar to a hog roast apart from the smaller numbers involved. Typically a single lamb roast will cater for 40, if you have larger numbers than this please make us aware on your enquiry. We include all of the same condiments as a hog roast apart from there is no sage and onion stuffing or apple sauce but there will always be mint sauce. The only truly appropriate condiment for lamb. However there is another option for lamb - how about flat breads and tzatziki? Ideal for any summer gathering.

 
  • BBQs

    If you’re not totally decided on a hog roast just yet or perhaps you want some variety, we’ve got control of that too. We can offer our services across numerous catering platforms including large scale BBQs offering fresh meat. fish and BBQ’d vegetables. All the meat you can dream of.

    We can also cook any other type of meat on our spit roasters such as wild boar, joints of beef, venison, chicken and turkey.

  • Vegetarian and other dietary requirements

    You guys have got it tough enough already what with dealing with reduced menu offerings at restaurants and what’s up with vegetarian/vegan dishes always being served last? Our most popular option is large Portobello mushrooms baked in either a garlic butter or with green pesto and mozzarella. If you’re wanting something extra we can look to things like a quiche as always the options there to customise. Tell us what your vegetarian guests REALLY want and we will ensure they feel like the food is just as much about them as the rest of your guests.

 
  • Salads, side dishes and other accompaniments for your event

If you’re looking for a bit more of a larger spread for your event we can accommodate any variation of salads and side dishes to be served along side your hog roast. Just an idea to begin with, we usually see people opt for a green leaf salad with tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, sweetcorn and carrot and some homemade coleslaw. Another of our very popular side dishes is roasted baby new potatoes roasted in olive oil with cracked black pepper and rosemary. However the limits are endless. Let us know exactly what you want and it’ll be done if it can. Think outside the box a little bit here. A fantastic selection of side dishes can really elevate a hog roast.

  • Canapés

    Something a bit more serious? We’ve got you covered. All of our canapés are hand made to order for your event, nothing comes from the freezer. This service does demand a premium but rest assured gone are the occasions of having a huge plate of canapés in front of you that are all the same colour and even worse, all taste the same.

  • Desserts, teas and coffees

    We’re winding down now, beginning to relax. Everyone’s full from the feast before but there is always room for desserts. You’ll notice a trend with what we offer by now in that it’s all up to you. The choice is entirely yours. Serving 100 guests but don’t fancy 100 bowls of identical dessert? Fine. Let’s have a selection. Mississippi mud pie, baked vanilla cheesecake, red velvet cake, chocolate brownies, apple crumble, E’ton mess. You can have them all and more. Most puddings offered in denominations of 10 and we’re happy to provide as many different types as you like.

Everything in between

Whilst it’s not immediately obvious, we can offer you a large selection of event management and planning services from champagne receptions to your tables, chairs and table cloths for your marquee. All of this side of things has become par for the course for us on numerous occasions over the years.
